The Merida Matts J12 is an excellent first bike for children aged 2-4, noted for its lightweight alloy frame that's easier to handle than steel, and 12-inch wheels that provide good control. It features kid-friendly components like a low standover height and removable training wheels for a smooth transition to a two-wheeler. While some models might have 16-inch wheels, the J12 is specifically designed for younger riders.
